About the Journal

Bioresources and Environment (BioEnv) is an international peer-reviewed journal published by Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), Malaysia. The journal provides a platform for scholarly research on bioresources, environmental science, environmental management and related interdisciplinary fields, with emphasis on research that advances scientific understanding, methodological rigour and practical or policy-relevant solutions to environmental and sustainability challenges.

BioEnv serves a global readership of researchers, academics, postgraduate and doctoral students, policymakers, environmental professionals, industry practitioners and other stakeholders working in bioresources, environmental science and related fields. The journal welcomes submissions from diverse geographical and institutional contexts, including comparative, cross-country and interdisciplinary studies that strengthen scientific understanding and contribute to broader environmental and sustainability debates.

All submissions undergo an initial editorial screening to assess their suitability for the journal's scope, originality and basic scholarly quality. Manuscripts that pass this stage are evaluated through a rigorous single-blind peer review process involving at least two independent reviewers. Editorial decisions consider the originality, scientific significance, methodological rigour, validity of analysis, clarity of presentation and contribution to existing knowledge. Submissions that fall outside the journal's scope or do not meet the journal's quality standards may be declined without external review.

BioEnv is committed to high standards of publication ethics, editorial independence, research integrity and transparency throughout the editorial and publication process. The journal follows the principles and relevant guidance of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and applies established standards of responsible research and scholarly publishing.
